About these terms
These terms govern your use of this website and any private journey, day tour or experience you book with Jordan Through the Eyes of Locals. By sending an inquiry or confirming a booking you accept these terms.
“We”, “us” and “our” refer to Jordan Through the Eyes of Locals, a local travel brand based in Amman, Jordan. “You” refers to the traveler or the person making the booking.
Inquiries and quotes
Sending an inquiry through this website is a request for information, not a confirmed booking. We will reply with a proposed itinerary and price. No payment is taken and no reservation is made until you approve the plan and complete checkout.
Booking and payment
Some experiences can be booked and paid for instantly through our secure hosted checkout. Others — group bookings, bookings with children, or tailor-made journeys — are confirmed as a quote request first, then invoiced once you approve the details.
Prices are shown in US Dollars (USD) per person unless stated otherwise. Tiered group pricing and child discounts are applied automatically where applicable. The total shown before checkout is the amount you pay.
Automatic discounts
Two discounts are applied automatically when your booking qualifies — no discount code is required:
Early Bird discount (10%): applied when your tour start date is at least 60 days after your booking date (dates counted in Jordan time). The discount is calculated from the standard tour price for all adults and children and is shown clearly in your pricing summary before payment.
Multi-Day Tour discount (5%): applied to tours lasting two or more days, as stated in the tour’s duration. It is calculated from the price after any Early Bird discount has been applied, so the two discounts are applied sequentially rather than simply added together.
When both discounts apply, each is shown separately in your pricing summary, and the final booking total reflects both; the final total is rounded up to the next whole US dollar. When a booking does not qualify, the discount is not applied and does not appear. A single-guest supplement may apply to bookings with exactly one guest; it is calculated from the standard tour price and is not discounted. Advertised “from” prices are standard prices before any discount. Discounts may be enabled, disabled or reconfigured by us at any time.
What is included
Each experience page lists what is included and what is not. Please read these lists carefully. Items not listed as included — such as gratuities, travel insurance, visa fees and personal expenses — are your responsibility unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Cancellations and refunds
Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your tour start time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour, or no-shows, are non-refundable. Exceptions apply only where agreed in writing by email from Jordan by Locals. Refunds (where applicable) are returned to your original payment method. If you paid a 25% deposit, it is non-refundable within 48 hours of the tour. Exceptions apply only where agreed in writing by email from Jordan by Locals.
If we cancel an experience for reasons within our control, you will receive a full refund or the option to rebook. Refunds for circumstances outside our control are handled in good faith and on a case-by-case basis.
Travel insurance and responsibility
You are responsible for arranging adequate travel insurance that covers medical expenses, trip cancellation and loss of belongings. You are responsible for ensuring you hold the correct visa and travel documents for Jordan.
You participate in tours and activities at your own risk. We take every reasonable care for your safety, but we are not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from circumstances outside our control, or from your failure to follow the guidance of your driver, tour leader or guide.
Reviews and content
When you submit a review, you grant us permission to publish it on this website. We reserve the right to moderate reviews for relevance and courtesy, and to remove content that is false, offensive or promotional.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, with the date shown above.
