All tour prices, deposits, balances, discounts and surcharges on this website are quoted and charged in US Dollars ($ USD). The amount you see at checkout — including your deposit, remaining balance and any applicable Early Bird, Multi-Day or single-guest surcharge adjustments — is the exact amount charged in USD. If your card or PayPal account uses a different currency, your provider may convert the USD total at their own exchange rate and may apply a foreign-transaction fee; Jordan by Locals has no control over those conversion charges.
Deposit requirement
Secure your private Jordan experience with a 25% deposit at the time of booking. Your booking is confirmed once the required payment has been successfully received.
Balance due date
The remaining 75% balance is due 30 days before your arrival date. We will email you a secure payment link ahead of the due date so you can settle the balance easily.
30-day deposit rule
You can choose to pay a 25% deposit or pay in full when your tour start date is 30 days or more away from your booking date. If you book within 29 days of your tour start date, full payment is required at the time of booking — the deposit option is not available for last-minute bookings. You can still make a reservation within 30 days; you simply pay the full amount today. The system calculates this automatically from your selected tour date, so you do not need to apply the rule yourself. Exactly 30 days before the tour date is treated as eligible for the deposit option.
Single-guest surcharge (private transport tours)
When a booking has exactly 1 guest and involves private transportation (a private car, sedan, SUV, minivan, van, 4×4 or dedicated driver service), a 35% single-guest surcharge is added to the standard tour total to cover the transport cost for a solo traveler. The surcharge is calculated from the standard tour price and is removed automatically when a second guest is added. The final total — including the surcharge — is used for your deposit, balance, payment links and confirmation. Shared small-group options are not subject to this surcharge.
Automatic discounts (Early Bird & Multi-Day)
Two discounts are applied automatically when your booking qualifies — no discount code required. Early Bird: a 10% discount when your tour start date is at least 60 days after your booking date (dates counted in Jordan time). Multi-Day Tour: a 5% discount on tours lasting 2 or more days, as stated in the tour’s duration. When both apply, Early Bird is applied first to the standard price for all adults and children, then Multi-Day to the reduced subtotal, so each is shown separately and the final total reflects both; the final total is rounded up to the next whole US dollar. The single-guest supplement is calculated from the standard price and is not discounted. When a booking does not qualify, the discount is not applied and does not appear.
Payment methods accepted
We accept major credit and debit cards through our secure hosted checkout, and PayPal. For your remaining balance, we can send a secure payment link by email or WhatsApp, or accept payment by bank transfer on request.
How guests can pay their remaining balance
We will email you a secure payment link for your remaining balance before the due date. You can also request a payment link at any time by replying to your booking email or messaging us on WhatsApp.
What happens if a balance becomes overdue
If your remaining balance is not received by the due date, we will contact you to arrange payment. A booking may be paused or cancelled if the balance remains unpaid past the arrival date, and your deposit may be non-refundable. Please contact us as early as possible if you need more time.
Cancellation and refund terms
Free cancellation is available up to 48 hours before your tour start time. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour, or no-shows, are non-refundable. Exceptions apply only where agreed in writing by email from Jordan by Locals. Refunds (where applicable) are returned to your original payment method. If you paid a 25% deposit, it is non-refundable within 48 hours of the tour. Exceptions apply only where agreed in writing by email from Jordan by Locals.
How guests receive payment confirmations
You will receive a booking confirmation by email as soon as your required payment is received. The confirmation includes your itinerary, meeting-point details and your payment summary (deposit paid and remaining balance).

This is a Jordan by Locals payment arrangement — you secure your booking with a deposit and pay the balance later. It is not consumer financing, credit, or a third-party “Buy Now, Pay Later” service.
