Who this suits

Travelers with ten days who want to see Jordan properly, with time for hiking, a desert-castle day and a second, deeper Petra visit.

Seasonal considerations

Spring and autumn best. Summer desert-castle and Wadi Rum days are very hot; winter is cold but quiet.

Practical advice

  • Nine nights: Amman (3), Wadi Musa (2), Wadi Rum camp (1), Aqaba (2), Dead Sea (1).
  • A second Petra day lets you attempt the Back Trail or High Place without rushing.
  • The desert castles are best in the cooler morning — they are remote and unshaded.
  • Jordan Pass covers all major entrances; the baptism site may need a separate timed entry.
